Located in the city Azogues province of Canar, is located the Cerro Cojitambo,whoso,etymology CURI TAMBO means rest of the gold.

How old is Cojitambo 

Due to the architectural characteristics and the existence of cultural materials that denounce a very old occupation of the site, it can be said that Cojitambo was inhabited during the period of regional developments,in the period of integration Inca.

 

What's in Cojitambo

It is considered one of the best climbing centers in the country, as it offers its visitors the possibility of practicing rock climbing and getting to know the Cojitambo Archaeological Complex that is located at the top of the hill.

                                                     

 Typical dishes of Cojitambo

In its daily menu there are empanadas, tamales, corn with cheese, green with cheese and chicharrón, roasted banana, roast meat, roast guinea pig, roast chicken, guinea pig, coffee, chocolates, tamales, humitas and juices.
